Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Metn Innovation Campus collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website, to the forms on it and to the lead forms we run on LinkedIn and other advertising platforms.

1. Who we are

Metn Innovation Campus, referred to here as MIC, we or us, is an innovation campus and coworking space in Jdeideh, Mount Lebanon. We are the party responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

Every form on this website is optional. You choose what to send us and when. Depending on the form, we may collect:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your company or team name, and your role, where a form asks for it
• Your CV or resume file, and anything you write about your interest and what you would bring, if you apply to join the team
• What you tell us in a free-text message, including workshop pre-registrations, program applications, call-back requests, blog contributions and general enquiries

Information from LinkedIn and other advertising platforms

We run lead generation forms on LinkedIn. When you submit one of those forms, LinkedIn passes us the details you confirmed in it, which typically include your name, email address, job title, company and country, and your phone number where you provided one. LinkedIn fills those fields from your own profile, and you see and confirm them before the form is sent.

We receive that information only because you chose to submit the form. Your use of LinkedIn itself is governed by LinkedIn's own privacy policy, not by ours. If we run equivalent lead forms on another platform, the same applies there.

Information collected automatically

• Website analytics. We use Plausible Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not collect personal information. The data we see is aggregate only.
• Advertising measurement. We use Google Tag Manager and a Google Ads tag to measure whether our advertising works and to show our ads to people who have visited the site. These set cookies and record technical information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you visited.
• Hosting records. Our host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses and request times, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Maps. Our About page embeds Google Maps. When that map loads, Google receives information about your device and your interaction with the map, under Google's own privacy policy.

3. How we use your information

We use what you send us to:

• Reply to your enquiry, call you back when you ask for a call, and answer questions about the campus
• Hold and process pre-bookings for desks, offices, meeting rooms and workshops
• Review applications to our programs and applications to join the team
• Run and administer the programs, workshops and events you sign up for
• Send you the specific thing you asked for, such as a launch notification or a virtual tour link
• Understand which pages and which advertising bring people to us, so we spend our marketing budget sensibly
• Keep the site secure and working

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. If we ever want to use your details for something materially different from the purpose you gave them for, we will ask you first.

4. Our basis for using it

Where you fill in a form, we rely on your consent and on the steps needed to respond to your request or to enter into an agreement with you. Where we measure site traffic and advertising, we rely on our legitimate interest in running the campus and understanding what works. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us, and that will not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. The cookies on this site come from Google Tag Manager and Google Ads, and are used to measure advertising performance and to show our ads to people who have already visited us. Our analytics tool, Plausible, sets no cookies at all.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised Google advertising at adssettings.google.com. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using this website.

6. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers that make this website and our outreach work, and only so that they can provide that service to us:

• Netlify hosts the website and receives and stores the forms you submit
• Google provides Tag Manager, Google Ads and the embedded map
• Plausible Analytics provides aggregate, cookieless visit statistics
• LinkedIn delivers our advertising and passes us the lead forms you submit there

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

7. Where your information is stored

MIC is based in Lebanon, but the providers listed above operate servers outside Lebanon, including in the European Union and the United States. Submitting a form means your information will be stored and processed outside Lebanon. We choose established providers that commit to protecting the information they hold for us.

8. How long we keep it

• Enquiries, pre-bookings and waitlist sign-ups up to 24 months after our last contact with you
• Program and workshop applications up to 24 months after the program or workshop ends
• CVs sent through the Join the team form up to 12 months, unless you join us or ask us to delete them sooner
• Blog contributions for as long as the piece stays published, together with the credit you asked for
• Aggregate analytics indefinitely, because it contains no personal information

You can ask us to delete your information before these periods end, and we will unless the law requires us to keep it.

9. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
• Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
• Delete your information
• Stop using your information for a particular purpose, including marketing
• Withdraw a consent you previously gave

Email info@mic-lb.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your information to someone else.

10. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, form submissions travel encrypted, and access to submissions is limited to the MIC team members who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the protection of what you send us seriously and will tell you if something goes wrong in a way that affects you.

11. Children

This website and our programs are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and the date at the top will always show the current version. If a change materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will contact you about it.
